Frequently Asked Questions

What OBD-II adapter does JPI support?

JPI is designed and tested with the OBDLink MX+ adapter (~$100, sold separately). Other Bluetooth OBD-II adapters are not currently supported.

Does JPI write to my ECU?

No. JPI is read-only by design. It reads standard and enhanced OBD-II data but never writes to your vehicle's ECU. Your calibration is safe.

Do I need a subscription?

No. JPI Pro is a one-time purchase of $49.99. No subscription, no recurring billing, no data fees. The free version includes basic OBD-II gauges and DTC reading.

Does JPI require an internet connection?

No. All AI processing runs entirely on your iPhone. JPI works at the track, in the paddock, or anywhere — no cell signal needed.

What cars does JPI support?

JPI works with any OBD-II vehicle (1996+) for standard telemetry. Enhanced platform support — with deeper PID access, platform-specific intelligence, and VVT/cam monitoring — is available for the C7 Corvette today, with more platforms coming.
